On 14 September 2022, a one-day UniCEN Program Workshop was hosted by the Kazakh British Technical University in Almaty city. This workshop was funded by the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and administered by American Councils for International Education (American Councils), the Central Asia University Partnerships (UniCEN) project title: “The UN SDGs water sustainability and climate action through efficient irrigation system use”. Member of the INOWAS research group (TU Dresden) Nurlan Ongdas gave a presentation on Sustainable water management through application of Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR). During the presentation Nurlan introduced to participants TERESA project and demonstrated some preliminary results. At the end of the presentation workshop attendees discussed the potential research directions and challenges with the application of MAR schemes.
